South Dam Walkway Opens

SOUTH DAM WALKWAY OPENS FEBRUARY 10

On SaturdaySaturday, February 10, LADWP, Council District 13, and community members will gather at the Silver Lake Reservoir’s South Dam to recognize the opening of the new public walkway. The event will take place from 10 AM to Noon and includes a ribbon cutting and tour of reservoir grounds. According to a flyer from CD13, the new walkway will be open to pets but not cyclists.

The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council worked closely with the Silver Lake community, LADWP, CD4 and CD13 for nearly four years to insure that the Reservoirs would be refilled as promised. Board and Committee Members will attend the event and work with city agencies on the new Reservoir Master Plan.
