If you have concerns about coyote sightings in your community, please come to a free Coyote Hazing Community Training event on Wednesday, August 31, at 6:30pm.  Experts from the National Park Service and an Animal Services Wildlife Officer will teach tips and techniques regarding how to haze coyotes – training coyotes to be wary of people again.  A coyote hazing program in Denver, CO reduced coyote encounters by more than 75%.  Find out when and where to haze the animals for both your safety and theirs.  Learn the simple household noise-making tools you can use to haze, and how to frighten coyotes when you see them in the neighborhood. Hazing coyotes can have a significant impact in lessening coyote sightings in a neighborhood when properly conducted, and at a community level.

This event is presented by the Northeast Silver Lake Neighborhood Watch — but you don’t have to be from Silver Lake to attend:  everyone is welcome!

LOCATION: It’s being held at the Citibank parking lot and in the Citibank meeting room (2450 Glendale Blvd., Los Angeles, CA  90039).  On-site parking will be available.  The event, with Q&A, should last 60-90 minutes.
