Free and open to the public, the event will feature dental and medical screenings, legal information on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents, and also food, a kid zone with pony rides, and a tree giveaway.
The event will kick-off Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell’s third year in office, and feature representatives and services from the City of Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, the Los Angeles Fire Department and MYSAFE:LA providing free smoke detectors, Los Angeles Police Department, Department of Public Works, Department of Recreation and Parks, the County of Los Angeles, Clinica Romero, Salvadoran American Leadership & Educational Fund, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, Los Angeles Public Library, Los Angeles Zoo, Torres Martinez Tribal TANF, Discovery Cube, St Anne’s, Central City Action Committee, Los Angeles Conservation Corps, Los Angeles Beautification Team, Children’s Institute, and Los Angeles Youth Network.
