California High-Speed Rail Authority

Workshops – Sm Biz Cert for Rail Resource

California High-Speed Rail AuthorityThe California High-Speed Rail Authority is committed to small businesses playing a major role in building the statewide high-speed rail project. The Small Business Program has an aggressive 30% goal for small business participation, including 10% Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), as well as Micro-Businesses (MB). Currently, 89% small businesses in Southern California are working with the High-Speed Rail Authority, but we are always working to increase that number.

Therefore, we are excited to announce that the California High Speed Rail Authority will host the following Small Business Workshops in Southern California:

Friday, January 15, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Work Source Center Youth Policy Institute. 11623 Glenoaks Blvd. Pacoima, CA 91331

Thursday, January 21, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Goodwill Southern California, 3150 N. San Fernando Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90065

Friday, January 22, 2016, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

University of Antelope Valley, 808 West Avenue J, Room 40, Lancaster, CA 93534

At these workshops, our Small Business team will make a presentation about the benefits of becoming a certified business, answer questions and assist businesses in completing their certification applications. Our partners, the Small Business Administration (SBA), Caltrans and Mayor Garcetti’s office will also make brief presentations.

I’ve attached a bi-lingual flyer and we would appreciate your assistance in sharing this information with small businesses in your district that may be interested in this opportunity.
