Volunteers Needed for Crucial Homeless Count in Silver Lake

19/01/2019  |  No comments

The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council Homelessness Committee is coordinating the 2019 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count in Silver Lake and looking for volunteers to participate in the critical project.

The annual count will take place the night of Thursday, January 24, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight and will be hosted by the Silver Lake Community Church.

According to Committee Co-chair Darius Derakshan, “The count is crucial to understanding how many homeless neighbors we have in Silver Lake and assists in determining the resources that go to our community. We need your help with the important visual-only count.”
