This is to invite you to support Evening of Angels, our annual gala that raises much-needed funds for our work changing the lives of at-risk children, youth and families throughout Los Angeles.
On Saturday, April 16, 2016 more than 500 St. Anne’s supporters will gather at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena for our 2016 Evening of Angels gala. By sponsoring St. Anne’s largest annual fundraiser, you and your brand will be exposed to industry leaders in real estate, law, finance and insurance to name a few. Most importantly, you will align yourself with a successful nonprofit dedicated to strengthening families, and the Los Angeles community, from the inside out.
Who We Are
Opened in 1908 as a safe refuge for unwed mothers, St. Anne’s has evolved into one of the most highly regarded social service agencies in the country. We offer residential care and transitional housing, family education and mental health services, early childhood education and workforce development. These comprehensive services nurture the safety, success and hope of parents and children, building healthy, stable families. We aim to break the cycle of homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect for Los Angeles families.
- St. Anne’s is one of the very few agencies in Los Angeles County that provides services to an often forgotten population—pregnant and parenting teenagers and young women in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. These young women have survived the harshest experiences life has to offer. Your donation helps them rebuild their lives and learn how to parent, complete their education and take the first steps toward independent living.
- More than 100 young mothers per year participate in St. Anne’s Workforce Development Program. Their tumultuous young lives did not prepare them to find and hold a job. All of the young women enrolled in our Workforce Development Program create a career plan and in 2015, 74% of participants found permanent employment or enrolled in a training program. With your assistance, they are gaining experience to qualify for jobs that will support them and their children.
- St. Anne’s recently earned our 11th consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Less than 1% of charities rated by Charity Navigator have received this rating for more than ten consecutive years. Since 2002, using objective, data-driven analysis, Charity Navigator has awarded only the most fiscally responsible organizations a 4-star rating.
