Local resident, Steve Meek (right) attended King Junior High, John Marshall High and UCLA. He published the Los Feliz & Silver Lake Community Guide and served on the JMHS Alumni Board. Steve celebrated Memorial Day at American Legion Post 43 in Hollywood, where he signed copies of his poem, “The Sacrifice,” for our local veterans. He has traveledfor work for the past 2 1/2 years, visiting veterans organizations across the country in his spare time.
